Broodminder
The SBA BroodMinder hive scale and temperature/humidity sensors have been installed on a hive at the Steppingstone Apiary and are now providing hive weight, temperature, and humidity date. The data can be viewed at beecounted.org.
Select View Map, zoom into Maryland, click on the icon at Harve de Grace (there is only one), select the highlighted Hive Id to view the hive data. Data are as of the last download to a mobile phone, then upload to the website.
Hive temperature and weight will fluctuate throughout the year depending on whether there is brood or honey stores.
